Typically, I end up making more friends than girlfriends. I now see

Sorry to say dude but unless she expresses how she doesn't like her new boyfriend, I'd keep your secret and comments to yourself. I know you want to know someone before you leap in but you never really know someone anyways until you're in the relationship. You missed your chance and now let her enjoy her budding relationship.
